What does The Bible say about

PERSONAL PROPERTY?”

Thou shalt not steal.” (Exodus 20:15) - (The eighth of the Ten Commandments).

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house ... wife ... manservant ... maidservant ... ox ... ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour’s.” (Exodus 20:17). - (The tenth of the Ten Commandments). - Thus, to desire that which belongs to another is the essence of theft, and is therefore evil.

Those who own property have the sole God-given rights to that property, except that they are required by the Lord who is the “giver of every good and every perfect gift” (James 1:17), to:

Recognize that the Lord Himself, as Creator, owns all things and has first claim on them, “Honour the Lord with ... the firstfruits of all thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty...” (Proverbs 3:9-10)

Be generous, sharing their goods with others, especially when they have a surplus. “Give, and it shall be given unto you..” (Luke 6:38)

Therefore Christianity and Communism/Socialism (i.e. community ownership or government ownership) are incompatible! Oppression of the people through taxation, usuary, imposing ever-increasing financially burdening regulations, etc. while favouring the rich, the bankers, and the one world government (the policies of all major political parties) runs counter to the Word of God!

Christ, the Saviour of sinners, was crucified between two thieves. One reviled Him to the end. The other, who repented and called upon Him, was promised, as both he and the Lord were dying, “To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43)

Today, Christ is still calling sinners (including thieves) to repentance.
