What does God’s Word say about – LOVE FOR OTHERS”

Some Direct Commandments:

Exodus 20:13-17 Thou shalt not kill.

Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour’s.

Luke 24:46-47 Thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name

Some Dire Consequences:

According to God-given law, the sins of murder, adultery, sodomy, and rape all carried the death penalty. (See Genesis 9:6, Deuteronomy 22:22-25 & Leviticus 20:13)

Even the sin of lying (bearing false witness or perjury) was visited with swift vengeance by the immediate death of two very early supposed Christian converts, Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5:1-10).

Some Due Comments:

With no death penalty as a deterent, our society and its authorities are in danger of being ruled by rapists, murderers, adulterers, sodomites, ethnic/religious terrorists, abortionists, euthanasiasts, and advocates of suicide. Even worse, the promoters of false religion destroy not bodies but the souls of their victims. Hence, “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.” (Exodus 22:18)

If the Lord himself began to stike down liars and perjurers today, how many politicians, lawyers, judges, police and preachers would be left standing?

Christianity is not a do-it-yourself, weak and hypocritical morality system with Christ’s name tacked on; it is God’s only way and He commands all men to walk in it. Christians are sinners who are forgiven and enabled by God’s grace to repent (turn around) and have faith in Christ. God be merciful to all readers.
